Festival of the Naked Sheep 2016
12th June 2016, 10am - 5pm Our Festival of The Naked Sheep celebrates our rare breed sheep’s annual haircut and everything the fleece can be used for. Throughout the day there are a number of interesting demonstrations and activities – so plenty to do for the whole family including: • Live sheep shearing demonstrations with talks from Shepherdess Kate • Take part in preparing and rolling fleeces • Demonstrations from spinners, dyers and felters • Craft activities for the children • Face painting • Meet the two Shetland Ponies Freddie and Tommie • Local stallholders • BBQ with all our own produce • Locally stocked bar The farm café will also be open, serving hot and cold drinks and home-made snacks throughout the day, so there will be plenty of time to relax whilst the children tire themselves out in our popular play area.
