Kentwell Hall's Tudor Midsummer (1588) Re-creation
Kentwell’s Tudor Midsummer Re-creation with over 200 authentically costumed, role playing Tudors will transport you back to Tudor England during 1588.
The Kentwell estate becomes a complete living, working community, with the sights, sounds and smells true to the era. Its like being in the middle of a stage set!
You will experience how life was actually lived, seeing everything from the daily lives of the gentry and household in the main house, to the staff in the diary preparing butter and cheeses, in the bakehouse where you will see fresh bread making and the brewers in the brewhouse making the finest ale!
In the gardens and grounds you can visit the many traditional crafts being undertaken including basket making, wool dying, pottery and metal work at the Forge.
You can observe the Militia, Sword School, Archers at the Butts and the young Tudors attending day school.
At all Kentwell’s re-creation we encourage visitors to get “hands-on” and join in the many activities that go on throughout the day.
This is a day out and an experience that will stay with you a lifetime.
