General Information

Haverhill Arts Centre  provides a wide ranging programme of arts and entertainment for Haverhill and the surrounding area, featuring a broad selection of theatre, cinema, comedy, children’s shows, music (rock, jazz, classical, folk and world), dance, spoken word, and a variety of participatory workshops for children and adults.

There are 210 tiered seats when the hall is set up for a show or for film, and it can host dinner/dances or functions for up to 120. The Arts Centre is therefore available for hire for performances, meetings, functions, dinner dances and conferences.

There is a café, open Monday to Saturday from 10.00am to 4.00pm, an exhibition area, meeting room, digital studio, bar, toilets, full disabled access and baby changing facilities. The Haverhill Local History Centre is also housed in the building.

Party venue

You can hire the Arts Centre for corporate, community and private events. We have a number of spaces available suitable for meetings, AGMs, fairs, open days, rehearsals, classes, weddings and parties

The auditorium or main hall as it is sometimes called is a very flexible space. As well as performances from dance and theatre groups we can accommodate craft fairs, wedding receptions, birthday parties, large-scale AGMs, recruitment fairs and much more. The theatre seating can be put back if required and the hall set out with tables and chairs. The auditorium can house 280 people for a standing event, 130 seated at tables and chairs and 210 if the theatre seating is put out. The air handling system keeps it warm or cool depending on the weather and the amount of people at your event.
