Being the Mayor of Ipswich is not all about fun but it will be next month at a special comedy night to raise funds for Councillor Sarah Barber’s charities.
The Charity Comedy Night is being held on Sunday 29th October at Pauls Social Club, Salmet Close, off Belstead Road. Doors open at 7pm and the show gets under way at 8pm. Tickets cost £10 and all the proceeds go to The Ipswich Hospital Charity, Lighthouse – Women’s Aid Ipswich, and FIND (Families In Need).
The evening has been put together by Big Cheese Comedy and among the three masters of mirth will be Ben Norris, who has become a regular performer around the world and who has appeared on TV’s “Mock The Week” and “8 Out Of 10 Cats”.
As GQ magazine out it: “The term circuit legend is overused but Norris is one of a handful that have been headlining for more than two decades and rarely departs a stage without leaving it torn to shreds in his wake. A master of the craft, this will be an hour of the most polished stand-up you are likely to see.”
The Mayor said: “If you like great comedy on your doorstep you can have a great evening for just a tenner at this Big Cheese Comedy event. I want to thank the organisers and Paul Social Club for donating the use of their premises for the night and hope for a really big audience to laugh out very loud.”
Tickets can be obtained from the Mayor’s Secretary at firstname.lastname@example.org tel 01473 432641
