Chris Riddell to make his mark at Halesworth Library

News release and media invite – Chris Riddell to make his mark at Halesworth Library Best-selling children’s writer and illustrator and Children’s Laureate, Chris Riddell will be visiting Halesworth Library on Saturday (15 August). Best known for his doodles, illustrations and popular children's books, like Goth Girl, Ottoline and The Edge Chronicles, Chris will be at the library from 1pm. His visit is part of his ambition to support and celebrate libraries and encourage more young people to read. Chris is also a political cartoonist with The Observer. Chris will be drawing, talking and reading from his books and also adding a special doodle to the library wall as a permanent reminder of his visit.  There will also be a pop-up bookshop where people can purchase Chris’s books and get them signed. Chris will also be bringing some limited prints with him to give away. The role of Children's Laureate is awarded once every two years to an eminent writer or illustrator of children's books to celebrate outstanding achievement in their field.
