Christmas in Suffolk 2017 - fun for families and children
So many things to do around Suffolk this Christmas, just thought we'd share a few. We'll add more as the big day gets closer, so do check back for updates. We'll be adding lots of family Christmas events to our calendar too, so if you're looking for something to do on a particular day it's well worth giving that a look too. Enjoy!
Ipswich Christmas Crafts & Food Fair

Father Christmas at the Mansion
Sat 16th and Sun 17th December 2017, 10am-4pm

Meet Father Christmas in the very special surroundings of the Tudor Chamber of Christchurch Mansion. Father Christmas will be telling stories and singing songs as part of this group experience. There will also be the chance to take part in craft activities, and enjoy a mince pie and some mulled wine (maybe not for the kids, that bit!). Definitely one not to miss!

Sudbury Christmas Fair & Lights Switch On!
Friday 24th November 2017, 5-9pm

Take the kids to see the magical Christmas lights switch-on in the town centre.

Sudbury Choral Society Christmas Concert
Sunday 17th December, 3-5pm

Time to go old-school with this traditional Christmas carol concert including themed readings.

Bury St Edmunds Christmas Lights Switch-On
Thursday 16th November, 3.15-8pm (lights on at 7pm)
Town Centre, Bury St. Edmunds, Suffolk
All the festive lights in the town will be switched on at 7pm, along with a whole evening of enterntainment including free street performances, stalls, fairground rides, penguins (in a special enclosure on Abbeygate Street), a baby reindeer with its mother and a full programme of stage entertainment outside Moyses Hall from 3.15pm. You'll even have the chance to meet special guests Elsa and Olaf, and pantomime characters from The Theatre Royal’s production of Dick Whittington.
Tickets: FREE, plus free parking across the town from 4pm
