Shows around Suffolk in October

In this next installment we share family shows in Haverhill, Felixstowe and Sudbury over the coming month. There's some really great stuff coming up, from tribute bands right through to mulit-sensory drama experiences. Whatever you're childs interests, age, needs or passion, there's bound to be something suitable. It always helps if the show can be enjoyed by the adults in the group as well as the children, and fortunately October has some great family-pleasers lined up for you. 

So scoot your eyes over this handy summary, and get choosing where your imagination is going to take you next!


What: Wannabe - The Spice Girls Show
When: October 6th, 8-10pm
Where: Spa Pavilion, Felixstowe, IP11 2DX
The vibe: OK so you may be pretending you doing it for the kids, but we know you're really a closet Spice Girls fan. Two hours packed with all the Spice Girls greatest hits, this promises to be a night to remember - your kids will love this high-energy show even if they don't realise it's a tribute...and your guilty secret will remain safe. Recommended age 5+ years.

What: Navi - The King of Pop
When: October 13th, 7.30-10pm
Where: Spa Pavilion, Felixstowe, IP11 2DX
The vibe: Michael Jackson tributes seriously don't get better than this. Even stroppy teens will struggle to stop their feet tapping in the face of this immense Jacko spectacular. Recommended age 5+ years.

What: Harry Panto and the Chamber Pot of Secrets
When: October 21st, 2.15-5pm
Where: Spa Pavilion, Felixstowe, IP11 2DX
The vibe: Not the real Harry Potter of course, but a show filled with wizarding antics that would make HP and his pals quite envious. Recommended age 5+ years.

What: Bugsy Malone
When: October 27th 7.30pm, October 28th 2.30pm and 7.30pm
Where: Spa Pavilion, Felixstowe, IP11 2DX
The vibe: Whether or not you've seen the movie yourself as a kid, you're bound to have heard of the tale of Bugsy Malone. Starring talented youngsters as mini gangsters in slick suits and natty hats, and (apparently!) custard pies! Recommended age 5+ years.



What: 1001 Fireflies: A multi-sensory show
When: October 24th, 3pm and 5pm
Where: Quay Theatre, Sudbury, CO10 2AN
The vibe: A beautiful multi-sensory experience, targetted specifically to children with learning disabilities. Recommended age 3+ years.



What: Mission to Launch
When: October 23rd, 10.30am
Where: Haverhill Arts Centre, Haverhill, CB9 8AR
The vibe: Orchestral music, designed especially for young children, with a space theme. With audience particpation and the chance to try some instruments too, fun has never been this tuneful. Recommended age 2-7 years.


What: LDN Wrestling
When: October 24th, 7.30pm
Where: Haverhill Arts Centre, Haverhill, CB9 8AR
The vibe: Stars of the international wrestling circuit will pummel, pounce and punch their way to victory - if that's your kind of thing you already know your family are going to love it! Recommended age 5+ years.

What: Lost and Found
When: October 25th, 11am and 2pm
Where: Haverhill Arts Centre, Haverhill, CB9 8AR
The vibe: Boy finds lost penguin and decides to take it back to the South Pole - seriously, who wouldn't?! Puppetry, music and songs bring the journey and the unlikely friendship to life with humour and gentle charm. Recommended age 3+ years.
