2 November 2015 Crowds were out in force on Fri (ght)day Night at Haverhill Town Council’s annual Halloween Trail in East Town Park. Some of the more unusual experiences included a 5 metre tall spider, a huge troll, a freaky circus troupe and a pumpkin Minions display. A chilling soundtrack accompanied a large group of zombies who roamed around the park ready to surprise the 2500 plus visitors. Arts and Leisure Manager for the Town Council Nick Keeble said “What a wonderful evening! Lots of families were out enjoying the spooky atmosphere. There were no incidents or accidents and 2 performers who came from Bristol and London commented on the fantastic community atmosphere at the event and how nice the Haverhill audience were. That is always lovely to hear” The event was organised by Haverhill Town Council but couldn’t have gone ahead without the work of volunteers from the Friends of the East Town Park. They are, Nick said “A superb group of volunteers worked with the Ranger Service to prepare the Park as well as acting as stewards on the Trail. We are very grateful for their support and enthusiasm for this unique event”. Ends
