Ipswich’s Holi Festival is taking place this Sunday (29th April).

The event had to be postponed from last month because of the very wet conditions but organisers are hoping visitors will enjoy the unique atmosphere this weekend in Holywells Park.

All the fun will take place between 1pm and 4pm and the event will feature Bollywood entertainment, music, singing and dancing and Indian food stalls.

The highlight for many is the opportunity to cover each other in coloured powder – it is great fun and a fantastic spectacle. The coloured powder will be provided.

Ipswich Holi Festival is organised by the Ipswich & Suffolk Indian Association, with the support of Ipswich Borough Council.

Entrance to the park is via Myrtle Road. Parking is available at Athena Hall car park off Duke Street and at Orwell Quay.
