Museum of East Anglian Life, reopens on Sunday 20th March with ‘Discovery Day ‘16’

Suffolk’s ‘Museum of the Year’ the Museum of East Anglian Life, reopens on Sunday 20th March with ‘Discovery Day ‘16’ offering discounted entry and Memberships to celebrate the start of the 2016 season.

Families can discover what the Museum has to offer, with half price adult entry and free child entry as well as 10% off Memberships purchased on the day. With activities and face painting as well as historic machinery in action, demonstrations of the Blacksmiths Forge and 19th century printing, this is a perfect opportunity to visit your local Museum.

Take a stroll down to the animal area, check out the nature trail or explore the impressive Walled Garden, included in the National Garden Scheme in 2016 for the second consecutive year. Step into Abbot’s Hall as you enjoy one of your last opportunities to see temporary exhibition ‘Edgelands’ featuring the photography of Tom Owens.

Discovery Day also sees the launch of a brand new trail, take a look at the winning entries from the My Museum Photography Competition on this picture trail around the Museum site.

With a traditional mini fairground and steam traction engine driving experiences, this fun packed event is not to be missed!
