Music Day magic
Preparations are under way for the biggest and best free one-day music celebration in the country.
Around 40,000 people will flock to Christchurch Park for Ipswich Music Day on Sunday (2nd July).
More than 50 singers and bands will be performing on six stages in the park, supported by classical and folk musicians in Bethesda Baptist Church, St Margaret’s Church and the Masonic Hall in Soane Street.
Fairground rides, a craft market, fabulous food and the opportunity to explore the treasures of Christchurch Mansion all add to the Music Day experience for young and old alike.
From punk to pop, world music to rock, there’s something for all music tastes.
On-site parking is available via the Park Road gates at £5 per car. Accessible parking for Blue Badge holders is free.
