Music Day stars wanted for anniversary event

We are asking you to celebrate 30 years of free and exciting music – whether it’s rock, rap, punk, folk and a lot more in between – by taking part in the fabulous Ipswich Music Day this summer.

Ipswich Music Day is the biggest free one-day outdoor festival in the country and a lot of that is down to the quality of the musicians taking part. For them it’s a fabulous opportunity to play on a big stage to thousands of people; for the fans it’s an opportunity to meet up with old musical friends and make some new ones as the whole of Suffolk heads to Christchurch Park.

Applications for the event on Sunday 5th July are now open and will remain so until 10am on 23rd March. Don’t delay! All musicians have to start somewhere (just ask Ed) so don’t be shy. An applications committee will look at what you can do and let you know later in the spring whether you have been selected.

Last year we had 180 wannabe stars come forward and 60 got their big chance.

As Music Day is a free event there are no fees paid to performers.

Thirty five thousand people, lots of family fun and all-round entertainment. The only thing missing is you!
