Suffolk library events taking place after Christmas

Meet local author Rosy Thornton at Ipswich County Library who is giving a free talk about her book Sandlands at 2pm on 28 December. Sandlands is a collection of short stories set in and around the village of Blaxhall in coastal Suffolk.

Come and get help with CVs and application letters at Saxmundham Library on Tuesday 3 January from 10.30am to 12noon

Halesworth Library are currently running a special winter treasure hunt throughout the town.  For £1 you can pick up an entry form in the library and then find the snowmen in various shop windows in Halesworth. Each snowman has a letter which can then be rearranged to make festive words. If you find the correct answers you can enter into a draw for a chance of winning £50. The treasure hunt is running until Wednesday 4 January.

Clare Library are holding a beginners' astronomy evening on Thursday 12 January at 7pm. Come along for a beginners’ astronomy talk and live stargazing (weather permitting) with John Underdown. Please contact the library to book your place.

  • Framlingham Library are holding a sale of withdrawn library books on Saturday 7 January from 9.30am to 5pm and on Sunday 8 January from 11am to 4pm.  

 

  • Woodbridge Library are holding a sale of withdrawn children's library books on Saturday 7 January from 9am to 5pm and on Sunday 8 January from 10am to 4pm
