Town prepares for carnival
The Suffolk flag is flying throughout Brandon and the Market Hill is awash with colour as preparations get underway for this weekend's carnival. This year's carnival is the fourth from the new committee formed in 2012 and aims to be even bigger and better than the previous three years. Once again the carnival parade takes place along London Road from 1pm where crowds will gather as the procession passes through. Entertainment on Market Hill, between 11am and 6pm, will include displays and performances from Brandon School of Dance, Ishin Ryu Ju Jitsu, Thundercats Cheerleading and Street Dance, Zumba Lou Lou and the Music Arts Project. Circus entertainer Zeddi will be in attendance throughout the day with a circus workshop and a variety of treats for the awaiting crowds. There will be stalls from local organisations and traders, live music, childrens rides, a climbing wall, rodeo bull, face painting, carnival games, Brandon's fire and police services along with hot dogs and burgers from Trev's Hell's Kitchen, a noodle bar, Twisted Crisps and Twisted Dogs, ice cream van and refreshments.
